Betty Thompson, FCPA, FCGA

"As the oldest child growing up on a farm, I learned to value family, community, and the need to support each other. In the business world, support and teamwork are just as essential.

I believe that clear thinking and good decisions happen when you work together."

Betty is a partner with a focus on providing financial and governance services to Alberta’s not-for-profit sector. She has over 10 years’ experience as an entrepreneur and 30 years’ experience serving the not-for-profit sector in Calgary. When Betty finds a break in her busy schedule, she can usually be found in another part of the world taking in historical and natural wonders. Her travel extends all over the world and she has been fortunate enough to visit some amazing places, where she gained a further understanding of how different we all are, but also how similar. When Betty is not travelling, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren, reading, and playing the occasional game of golf.
